3rd Annual George Kritikos Luncheon Fundraiser

Dear Family/Friends/Loved ones,

At this time, with my brother's birthday of June 4 approaching, our family is announcing the 3rd Annual George Kritikos Annual Fundraiser for the benefit of the Montreal Children’s Hospital Foundation.

This year, the fundraiser luncheon event is open to the public and will be held on:

Sunday, October 4, 2026 from 12 PM - 3 PM at Greektown Grill D.D.O. (4071 Boul. Saint-Jean, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, QC H9G 2R4.

We thank Greektown Grill D.D.O. for their ongoing amazing support of this fundraiser event.

Please note, restaurant seats are limited, so 1st come 1st serve. So please RSVP by emailing at nick.kritikos@sympatico.ca or texting at 514-264-5667.

2026 GOAL: Our fundraising goal this year, with God’s grace, is $15,000 with 100% of the gross proceeds going to the MCHF. Last year, with everyone’s amazing support, we raised just over $10,000 for the MCHF.

BENEFICIARY & SPECIFIC PROGRAMS:

For the 3rd year in a row, we are pleased to announce that the beneficiary will be The Montreal Children's Hospital Foundation. Specifically, donors will have 2 wonderful MCHF program options to choose from:

1) The Dr. Clown Program

  • this is for clowns who go around the hospital to cheer up the kids (as well as seniors) before a procedure or after, for long-term stays, etc
  • please simply donate online
  • the donor will immediately get a PDF tax receipt by email

2) Toys for children staying in the hospital for longer stays

  • this program is to provide toys to children staying in the hospital for longer term stays especially for their birthdays
  • trained child care providers would get to know what the child likes and choose from a pool of toys

TAX RECEIPT: thanks to a great offer by the MCHF whereby you can get an official charity tax receipt so long as you bring proof of receipt (n.b. amount tax receipt = amount of toys before sales taxes)

George was a big kid at heart up until his 60th years and for so many years he loved to carry a red clown nose to cheer kids up. So we know both of these programs would make him very happy to help less fortunate kids.

In addition, George was treated at the Montreal Children's Hospital for close to his first 30 years including getting his monthly blood transfusions to treat his Thalassemia illness. So this fundraising initiative takes on even more meaning.
