Montreal Children's Hospital Foundation

2019 will be the 4th year of the Pedal To Support Dads (PTSD) Challenge that raises awareness and helps Dads who are suffering from PTSD from their child being in the hospital. All proceeds raised go to the NICU and PICU. over the last 3 years we have raised over $14,000.

In Year 1, Richard and Andrew raised over $5000 while cycling 165km from Mont Tremblant to the Children's Hospital. In year 2, still only Richard and Andrew, the ride evolved and they cycled 210km from Ottawa to the Children's Hospital. Year 3 was based at the Gilles Villeneuve Formula 1 track and we lapped the track. This was a great venue as 6 riders participated, with people cycling from 65km up to 222km. Even Andrew's sons, who both went through the Children Hospital PICU, covered 5km on their bikes.

Therefore for the 4th year we are doing the same location in order to allow as many people as possible to participate

Bike ride details:

• Date: September 14 or 15th 2019 (depending on the weather)

• Location: Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, Parc Jean-Drapeau, Montréal, QC H3C 6A1

• Time: Starts at 8am and will go until 6pm

• Distance: 200+ km, however as it is a circuit you can join for 1 lap if needed

2019 Riders (So Far): Andrew Gordon-Stewart, Richard Sholzberg, Nigel Gordon-Stewart, Alexine Gordon-Stewart.

The reason the ride is over 200km (200,000m) is that last year The Children's treated over 200,000 kids, so we will be riding 1 meter for every children treated. If we can make life a little better for just a few of those children in the hospital and dads suffering with PTSD, it will be amazing. Please help us reach our goal by making a donation.
