À La Carte is more than a series of cookbooks. It's a community-driven fundraiser built around food, family, storytelling and giving back and 100 cent of proceeds from book sales benefit the Montreal Children’s Hospital’s Healthy Kids Fund.

Our first volume, published in English, featured simple, family-friendly recipes to help people spend time at the table with those they love. It is also a storybook, sharing heartwarming stories from medical professionals at the Montreal Children’s Hospital, from young patients they have treated and from parents of patients whose lives have been touched by the hospital’s care.

Thanks to the generosity of our community, Volume 1 was a sold-out success and helped raise $135,000 for the Montreal Children’s Hospital.

We are proud to be continuing our work with two new cookbook releases coming fall 2026.

À La Carte Cookbook, Encore! is the second À La Carte cookbook fundraiser. Like the original, it includes recipes contributed by home cooks, local chefs and volunteers who all believe in the healing power of food and connection. Whereas Volume 1 focused on simple, family-friendly dishes intended to bring people together around the table, Encore! expands the collection with cherished recipes passed down through generations.  

We are also thrilled to announce that Volume 1 is being translated into French, which will allow us to share its contents with more families, readers and supporters.
