Hello everyone, 

I've decided to join Pedal For Kids this year with the cancer predisposition syndrome research team at the Montreal Children's Hospital. 

The cancer predisposition clinics coordinate care and treatment of children undergoing targeted therapies from the findings of precision medicine research. Since pediatric cancer is relatively rare and patients with predisposition is rarer, every dollar donated will help support the unique and life-changing work done in our clinic!

Our research also goes in hand with the clinics in creating an e-health app called McGill Interactive Pediatric Oncogenetic Guidelines (MIPOGG). The app aims to help identify and prioritise which children cancer should be referred to medical genetics. Through MIPOGG, the lab has collaborated with teams in Canada and across the world to make constant update and adapt t it to better the needs of healthcare worldwide. 

This is also the fruit of my every day work where I am combing through many patients' charts and files for demographic, genetic and clinical information relevant to be used in the app. Your donation would facilitate more research similar to this
