This September, I’ll be running the 10K at the 2025 Marathon Beneva de Montréal to raise funds for the Montreal Children's Hospital Foundation. Every step I take is for the children and families who rely on the hospital’s exceptional care. Your support will help provide vital resources, medical equipment, and innovative treatments.
Why I'm running for the Montreal Children's Hospital Foundation:
In 2014, I crashed while longboarding and caught the flesh-eating bacteria in my neck. I was then hospitalized at the Montreal Children's Hospital, and put into an induced coma after undergoing emergency surgery.
After being comatose for 3 weeks, I woke up and could only blink. My whole body had atrophied from disuse; I couldn’t shake my head, sit up, feed myself, bathe myself or speak.
But step by step, I regained movement, then autonomy, and then freedom. I regained the ability to walk, talk, and move around. Until one day I was able to jog on a treadmill and cried from the thrill.
I’m lucky to be alive today—but really it had nothing to do with luck, and everything to do with the incredible nurses, doctors and surgeons that worked on my case around the clock for weeks.
Join me in making a difference—every donation counts!
