Oberson Everesting Challenge
The Challenge
The Oberson Everesting is a one-of-a-kind sporting challenge. Solo or in teams, participants come together in running or cycling to collectively accumulate elevation gain equal to Mount Everest (8,849 m) — entirely on the slopes of Mont-Royal. The challenge takes place on Camilien-Houde Way for cycling, as well as on a nearby trail for running or hiking.
But beyond the physical challenge, every climb carries deeper meaning: every dollar raised goes directly toward medical research for sick children.
❤️ Why donate?
Your donation supports research at two specialized clinics of The Montreal Children's Hospital:
- 🫁 Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia (PCD) Clinic
- 🌬️ Cystic Fibrosis Clinic
These rare diseases mainly affect children. Every dollar raised helps improve their quality of life and advance science.
🏅 How does the challenge work?
Take part solo or in teams of 2 to 6 people! Each team must raise a minimum of $500 to participate, while solo participants must raise a minimum of $75.
This year, two special prizes will be awarded:
- 🥇 Performance Prize — to the team or participant with the most elevation gain (D+)
- 💛 Top Fundraiser Prize — to the team or participant who raises the most donations
