About Anna:
Anna Rohan was born on October 24, 1938, in Prague, Czechoslovakia and sadly passed away on October 10, 2021 in Montreal, Canada, just shy of her 83rd birthday. Professionally, she became a pharmacologist and married Pavel Rohan, a physician from Slovakia. Together, they served in their medical capacities in Tunisia and then moved to Canada in 1965. In Montreal, Anna transitioned to become a prolific artist whose art can be found in private collections in Canada, the United States, the Czech Republic, Brazil and Japan. She was a beloved mother to Daniella, cherished Babi to Alan and Erika, sister to Jana and Irena, aunt to Ivan, Peter, Katerina, Denisa and David, sister-in-law to Elena, step-mother to Jirka, Michal and Jan, cousin to Ivana and Bronislava, and many extended family members and friends. Anna was a very involved Babi to Alan and Erika, where she lead by example, and showed us that if you have a problem to solve, you attack it head on, because the worst that can happen is you learn something, which sets you on a path, bringing you closer to solving a problem. She showed us, that even if we lost, in anyway, that it is okay to take a moment to lookback on it, as long as we keep our focus in the present and the future, while using our new knowledge acquired from the past, to not repeat the same mistake. Anna was not the best at every activity she performed, but that did not stop her from persevering regardless, which taught us another valuable lesson. Anna was a very generous and talented individual that touched many lives and shall remain in our hearts forever.
